HarvestMan moves to Google Code (Jun 16 2008)

HarvestMan project has moved to Google Code from today. The address of the new project site is http://harvestman-crawler.googlecode.com. Hereafter, project file releases will be done at this site. The current berlios project page will be deprecated.

HarvestMan wins FOSS India Award (Feb 19 2008)

HarvestMan is one of the 20 recipients of the FOSS India Awards for 2007, constituted by LFY magazine and NRC FOSS. The awards were declared in the recently concluded Open source India Week conference in New Delhi.

HarvestMan 2.0 alpha package drops (Aug 18 2007)

After nearly two years of development, the new version of HarvestMan, namely 2.0 is getting ready to be released. As a part of the release process, alpha drops of the package will be made available on the website every week. These can be downloaded from this folder on the website.

HarvestMan moves to new home (May 28 2007)

HarvestMan has moved from the earlier http://harvestman.freezope.org address to the new http://www.harvestmanontheweb.com address. The freezope server has been down for more than a month making the former site unavailable for too long. The address change has been updated in Python Cheeseshop records of HarvestMan.

HarvestMan in Ubuntu! (May 28 2007)

HarvestMan is now available in Ubuntu repositories of Feisty and Edgy. Links are here and here.

Debian gets HarvestMan! (Mar 18 2006)

HarvestMan has been accepted as part of the Debian Linux distribution. HarvestMan will ship along with the next version of Debian, named Etch. For more information visit the Debian HarvestMan page.

Literature on D-HarvestMan (Mar 5 2006)

D-HarvestMan dot com (Dec 1 2005)

Distributed HarvestMan gets itself a dot com website. Currently there is no content only the Joomla interface. We plan to add content soon.

Website redesigned (Oct 4 2005)

The HarvestMan website now features a totally fresh look. The new website has been designed by using cascading style sheets for every page. Every page has a uniform look and feel now. A lot of effort has been made to make the information in the website better organized and more easily accessible.

Distributed HarvestMan goes online (Oct 4 2005)

Distributed HarvestMan alias D-HarvestMan is a project aimed at developing a distributed crawler on top of HarvestMan. It is being done in co-operation with Agder University College. The project participants are Anand B Pillai, developer of HarvestMan, Dinko Hadzic and Arild Andås.
